Every keyboard spec sheet lists actuation force and travel distance, and none of it tells you how a switch actually feels at two in the morning. This story is about learning to trust fingers over datasheets.
A vocabulary for feel
Somewhere between the tenth and the fiftieth switch you start to develop words for it — thocky, scratchy, poppy. These notes collect the vocabulary and the testing habits that finally made the choices easy.
