Designing a USB-C PCB

What it actually takes to route USB-C on a first board — CC resistors, footprints, and humility.

Designing a USB-C PCB

USB-C looks simple from the outside: one connector, any orientation. On the PCB it is twenty-four pins of protocol negotiation, and my first board taught me most of that the hard way.
