Designing a USB-C PCB
What it actually takes to route USB-C on a first board — CC resistors, footprints, and humility.

USB-C looks simple from the outside: one connector, any orientation. On the PCB it is twenty-four pins of protocol negotiation, and my first board taught me most of that the hard way.

Notes from the first spin
This story collects the routing decisions, the footprint mistakes, and the checklist I now keep beside every new board.
